  •  General Terms & Conditions

​

  1. Grange Judo Club ("The Club") will operate sessions as shown on our website as Public Sessions or as Private Lessons each has its own terms shown under the section Session Terms & Conditions or Private Lesson Terms & Conditions

  2. The club will provide updates to sessions through its website, social media and by text or e-mail to members

  3. The club will not tolerate any form of harassment, bullying, aggressive or abusive behaviour at its sessions, lessons or on its website towards staff, visitors or other members. We will always ban any person showing this behaviour and at sessions or lessons a body worn CCTV or similar camera will be used to record any examples of this behaviour and actions taken. The footage from this will be passed onto the police for any follow up investigation or report.

  4. The club asks all members to uphold the clubs motto of Honour, Integrity & Respect and to assist us in our goal to be the Friendliest Judo Club in Swindon and allow us to maintain a relaxed atmosphere where all are welcome to learn and practice the martial art of Judo for self defence, exercise or as a sport or hobby.

  5. After attending the club for 1 month we expect all attendees to become Members and have a Judo Suite, unless they have signed a disclaimer.

  • Session Terms & Conditions

​

Our Session Terms and conditions are as follows:​

​

  1. We will operate all sessions as advertised, unless due to a reason beyond our control we are unable to.

  2. If we are unable to operate a session, we will re-arrange the session and members will be informed via text, e-mail, Social Media Post and on this website. We will try to do this as soon as we are aware we are unable to provide a session.

  3. If you have pre-paid for a session either in a monthly package or as a one off, we will transfer the pre-payment to the next session be it the rearranged session or the next session you are able to attend.

  4. We will not refund any session fee once the session has started. This also applies to pre-paid fees where there is a no show or you have not contacted us to rearrange. If you have re-arranged a pre-paid session, we will use your pre-payment for the re-arranged session.

  5. Pre-Paid session fees for one session or for a monthly pre-payment once the first session has been attended are not refundable. We can refund a monthly plan as long as you have not attended any sessions. You can apply for a refund for special circumstances via our billing e-mail which is accounts@grangejudo.co.uk 

  6. Sessions last between 45-60 minutes. We may stop a session earlier to allow for closing of the session to comply with our hire agreement for the hall.

  7. Free first sessions last 45 minutes. Prior to starting the Free session, we will require a medical form to be completed and a membership details form. These forms do not tie you into a contract with us, they are purely for administration purposes. 

  8. If you would like to join the club as a member, we will provide you with an additional form which shows the membership options and prices. 

  9. ALL SESSION FEES MUST BE PAID EACH WEEK BEFORE YOU BEGIN THE SESSION UNLESS A PRE-PAYMENT FOR 1 OR A MONTHS SESSION HAS BEEN MADE.

  10. Pre-paid sessions are recorded on our database and payment systems. Members who have paid for a month will have the sessions confirmed by e-mail and will be issued an electronic gift card which will store the amount pre-paid on it. The gift card will be sent from our payment provider Square. 

  11. You can pre-pay for sessions at a session, you will be issued with a card which will have to be presented at each session. This card will be marked each week and if renewed a new card will be issued.

  12. These terms and conditions also include our General Terms & Conditions above and our members code of conduct, rules and the Judo Code which is provided to each member on joining the club.

  • Private Lesson Terms & Conditions

​

The following Terms & Conditions Apply to Private Sessions:

​

  1. All 1-2-1 Private Lessons will be held at the Grange Leisure Centre and on acceptance of the booking, we will book the venue.

  2. For Private Group Sessions we will either use the Grange Leisure Centre or we will arrange the hire of the facility you have chosen, unless this has already been done by the organiser of the Private Session

  3. ​We will honour and attend all Private Lessons as booked and confirmed, unless due to a reason beyond our control we are unable to.

  4. If we are unable to provide a lesson we will re-arrange the Lesson and you will be informed via phone call, text, or e-mail. We will try to do this as soon as we are aware that we cannot provide the session.

  5. ALL LESSON FEES MUST BE PAID IN ADVANCE, UNLESS INVOICING OR RECURRING CARD PAYMENT HAS BEEN SET UP OR WE HAVE AGREED TO COLLECT FEES AT THE LESSON.

  6. If we are unable to provide a Lesson, we will re-arrange the lesson. The Lesson Fee will be credited to the next lesson arranged.

  7. We will not refund any Lesson Fees once a venue has been hired or where there is a no show or you have not contacted us to rearrange. If you have re-arranged a Lesson, we will use your Lesaon Fee for the re-arranged session.

  8. You can apply for a refund for special circumstances via our billing e-mail which is accounts@grangejudo.co.uk 

  9. Lessons last between 50-55 minutes. We may stop a Lesson earlier to allow for closing of the session to comply with our hire agreement for the hall.

  10. First Lessons last 45 minutes. Prior to starting the First Lesson, we will require a medical form to be completed and a membership details form. 

  11. If you would like to join the club as a member, we will provide you with an additional form which shows the membership options and prices. 

  12. Lessons are provided on a 1-2-1 or Private Group basis, for Group Sessions, the first two attendees or family groups will be charged our Private Lesson Fees, any additional attendees will be charged at our normal session prices. 

  13. We will ask for the proposed number of attendees at a Lesson as part of the booking process. 

  14. Private Lessons are recorded on our database and payment systems. The payments for these will be shown on your booking confirmation which must be shown at the session.

  15. All Private Lessons will have a minimum of 2 members of club staff present, this applies to 1-2-1 Lessons and Group Sessions.

  16. WE WILL NOT HOLD ANY SESSION OR LESSON AT A PRIVATE RESIDENTIAL ADDRESS FOR STAFF SAFETY AND INSURANCE REASONS

  • Membership Terms & Conditions

​

Our Membership Terms & Conditions are as follows:

​

  1. We expect all attendees to become Members after they have been with the club for 1 month, and to have a Judo Suite, unless they have signed a disclaimer form.

  2. We offer the following Memberships to the Club for attendees:

    1. Adult Full Membership​ for those aged 18+

    2. Senior Full Membership for those aged 11-17

    3. Junior Full Membership for those aged 4-10

    4. Family Group Membership for 1 Adult and 2 Seniors or Juniors, additional family members can be added for £10 per Adult or £5 per Senior or Junior

    5. Recreational Membership for all ages 

  3. The current membership fees are as follows:

    1. Adult Full Membership - New Member £20, Renewal £18​

    2. Senior Full Membership - New Member £17, Renewal £15

    3. Junior Full Membership - New Member £15, Renewal £13

    4. Family Group Full Membership - New Member £45, Renewal £42 - Additional Adults are £10 each & additional Juniors or Seniors are £5 each for new members or renewals.

    5. All Age Recreational Membership - New Members or Renewals £15 

  4. Membership Fees must be paid in advance at the current New Membership or Renewed Membership fee shown on our Public & Members Only pages of our website.

  5. Members must present their membership card and members licence at each session. These will be issued to you at your first session as a member.

  6. Replacement Membership cards cost £1.00 for adults and 50p for Senior and Junior Members.

  7. On Renewal of your membership, a membership card renewal fee of £1 applies to adult members and 50p for senior and junior members.

  8. Members are expected to assist new attendees at sessions and to make them feel welcome.

  9. Only Full Members are eligible for grading and competitions

  10. Recreational Memberships are for those who wish to learn and practice Judo as a form of exercise or relaxation. You can upgrade to full membership at any time. The Full membership price will apply, however we will discount the price by the cost of your recreational membership

  11. If you do not wish to be a Full or Recreational Member of the Club, then you will be asked to sign an insurance waiver form, so that if you sustain any injury that is not caused by the negligence of our staff.

  12. Adult, Senior & Family Group (including additional Family Group Members) Full Memberships cancelled within 14 days are eligible for a full refund, after 14 days refunds will be pro-rata in quarters as follows: 1st quarter - 75% refund, 2nd quarter - 50% refund, 3rd quarter 25% refund. There will be no refunds in the 4th Quarter.

  13. Junior Full Memberships or Recreational Memberships cancelled within 14 days are eligible for a full refund, after 14 days refunds will be paid as follows: Cancelled in the first quarter - 75% refunded, 2nd quarter - 50% refunded. There will be no refunds in the 3rd or 4th quarter for Junior or Recreational Memberships

  14. Refunds will be made in either the original payment method or as a direct bank transfer, we will ask for your bank details to do this.

  1. ​By using or continuing to use our website you agree that you accept our General Terms & Conditions above

  2. You agree that you will not try to enter our members area without signing up as a club member

  3. You agree that you will not use any members area for personal gain

  4. You agree that you will not try to hack, add a virus or attempt to corrupt our data.

  5. These Terms cover use of our Website, Facebook, Instagram and Twitter Pages

  • Loyalty Card Terms & Conditions

​

​We Issue Loyalty Cards subject to the following Terms & Conditions:

​​

  1. Loyalty Cards are issued by the club using WhisQR

  2. You will present your card at each session for digital punches to be added

  3. You will present your card at each session for FREE sessions to be taken from your balance

  4. We ask that you register your card with WhisQR so that in the event of loss a new card can be issued with your points balance on

  5. You can only have 1 active card, however you can download the card onto your phone and use your phone alongside your card

  6. If you click on the link provided to obtain a QR card on your phone before a card is issued, you will not be able to have a card as well

  7. Junior Members will receive a QR card and a stamp card, both of these must be presented when earning stamps and to use rewards earned.

We accept the following Payment Methods at sessions for all transactions:

  • Cash​

  • Credit or Debit Card (Chip&PIN or swiped)

  • Contactless Card or Google Pay & Apple Pay

  • Gift Card (see terms & conditons below)

  • PayPal

  • Direct Bank Transfer​

For Membership and Pre-Payments we also accept the following:

  • Cheque - made payable to Grange Judo Club

  • Standing Order

We can also accept payment via Monzo.me, this is provided by the Administrator who will verify receipt of payment and issue a receipt, then transfer payments to the club.

For Private Sessions and Lessons, these must be pre-paid and accept the following:

  • Card payment over the phone or online

Gift Card Terms & Conditions

​

The following terms & conditions apply for Gift Cards

 

  • We issue and accept Gift Cards via Square.

  • They are issued as an E-Gift Card via e-mail

  • They can be purchased online or at the session

  • We accept all the above payments methods for gift cards

  • You must bring the e-mail with the gift card number on to a session

  • We can provide a physical card with the e-gift card number on request.
